INTRODUCTION
Summit Global Investments is an independently owned, SEC-registered Investment advisor headquartered in Bountiful, Utah. They offer professional investment management to institutions, endowments and foundations, family offices, and individuals.
In addition to their six strategies, SGI manages three mutual funds and four ETFs.
CHALLENGE
In early 2023, SGI reached out to SunStar to help them promote the upcoming launch of their first ETF, the SGI Dynamic Tactical ETF, DYTA, on the Nasdaq. They were new to the ETF space, weren’t known as an ETF firm, and were unfamiliar with the benefits and services Nasdaq had to offer.
SOLUTION
SGI, an existing SunStar client, amped up their PR efforts and enlisted SunStar’s marketing services.
SunStar drafted a press release and scheduled it to coincide with the launch. Prior to the launch, SunStar created a comprehensive PR, marketing, and social media strategy focusing on centers of influence, business journalists and national business television networks.
SunStar coordinated efforts with Nasdaq’s marketing team, helping SGI get the most from the services they offer resulting in an author page and feature article on Nasdaq.com for Dave Harden, President and CEO, and amplification of social media posts shared to Nasdaq’s social media pages.
On SGI’s behalf SunStar worked with Nasdaq’s team to coordinate the bell ringing ceremony. From designing the invitations to planning the menu to managing the ceremony app for the day – SunStar managed the entire event. While Dave Harden was in New York for the bell ringing, SunStar coordinated an in-person media tour.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
On 8/14/2023, six months from the launch date, SunStar wrote and distributed a press release announcing DYTA’s AUM milestone - surpassing $100 million in assets.
