It's a frequent misperception that if one were to invest in sustainable funds they would have to sacrifice performance.

Not so -  sustainable investing does NOT mean poor performance.

While this may have been true several years ago, it is not the case today. In fact, more and more investors are learning that the field as a whole has become more focused on incorporating ESG factors (environmental, social and governance) into the investment process. 

In a recent report, Morningstar found that, "the distribution of star ratings among sustainable investing funds skews in a positive direction, suggesting better risk-adjusted performance relative to the overall universe."
